700 Gowns Donated To US Military Women And Wives

Our newest program,The Dresses For Heroes Program, led by Wendy Rubio, gave away 500 formal dresses to Camp Pendleton and 200 gowns, shoes, and accessories to Ft. Irwin late this summer as military balls approached. This year the military bases and programs has seen a great increase of individuals who desire to attend their military balls because of last year’s event cancellations and fear of an uncertain future due to the covid lockdowns. A huge thank you to Wendy, who served the US Army for 9 years, and for all of her effort to quickly coordinate, plan and execute our new program with the assistance of Founder, Dawn Schultz, that blessed many women who have hardships in our military. We love our men and women in uniform!

The Dresses and Dreams Project is 501 (c)3 non-profit organization to inspire vulnerable teen girls and women to love and value themselves. We provide resources, referrals and empowerment through workshops, classes, mentoring and community collaboration to girls and women year- round at a mind, body, and spirit level, with a special emphasis on self-love, healthy relationships, and integrity. We hold an annual event called Operation Prom Girl where we have provided over 1200 prom dresses to high school girls and assisted with military balls and events for special learners. We also donate dresses to all women who have a need. Our mission is to empower women through the magic of a beautiful dress, and inspire them to live to their full potential and purpose.
