Volunteers sign up for a team of their choice to work the Operation Prom Girl 2022 event, a program for teen girls who are graduating or going to prom
The Dresses and Dreams Project is a fully volunteer operated nonprofit organization. Our volunteer meetings are beginning to wrap up for Operation Prom Girl 2022. We still need committed volunteers and dedicated team leaders! This year’s theme is “Dignified” and teens who volunteer with us will be guaranteed an event ticket as well as first choice in dresses!
At the end of February, we met at Starbucks in Wildomar to hear about the mission and vision of Dresses and Dreams Project, a personal testimony of hope from the founder, as well as an opportunity to sign up for event volunteerism. Our next meeting is on March 19 at the event venue, Elevation Church in Menifee. Anyone interested in volunteering should be able to commit to attend the next two meetings leading up to event as no volunteers can be accepted as walk-ins on day of event. The Dresses and Dreams Project is 501 (c)3 non-profit organization to inspire vulnerable teen girls and women to love and value themselves. We provide resources, referrals and empowerment through workshops, classes, mentoring and community collaboration to girls and women year- round at a mind, body, and spirit level, with a special emphasis on self-love, healthy relationships, and integrity. We hold an annual event called Operation Prom Girl where we have provided over 1200 prom dresses to high school girls and assisted with military balls and events for special learners. We also donate dresses to all women who have a need. Our mission is to empower women through the magic of a beautiful dress, and inspire them to live to their full potential and purpose.
