All-day event included modest fashion show and concluded with gown giveaway
In its 9th event year, Operation Prom Girl 2022 was a huge success and many girls were blessed with a full day of enrichment. This year’s theme, DIGNIFIED, was the focus, resulting in attendees understanding its definition and learning of their own inherent worth and value. Operation Prom Girl is available in early spring each year to girls who are experiencing any type of hardship or challenging circumstance. The program is free of charge and each girl leaves with a gown, goodie bags and prizes, but more rewarding, she leaves with a full heart knowing that she is loved, supported, and valued. Resources and advocacy are available onsite in case a girl is experiencing a challenge or hurdle in her life that keeps her from moving forward into her purpose. Many girls just need guidance or direction. We are thankful to the various resources we partner with that offer professionals who advocate for real-life subjects that teens and others are experiencing. Some of these include domestic violence, pro-life pregnancy support, educational/career, spiritual matters, bullying, healthy relationships, addiction, and mental health support. Though The Dresses and Dreams Project primarily serves the Inland Empire, anyone is welcome to apply for a ticket to the free event and formal gown giveaway. Teens as far as Victorville, CA were served at this event which also featured a luncheon and guest speakers amidst a beautiful crowns with rose gold and creme-decorated venue at Elevation Church in Menifee. The Dresses and Dreams Project is 100% volunteer-staffed; to financially support our organization please contact dressesanddreamsproject@gmail.com or visit https://thedressesanddreamsproject.org/donations/ on this website.

The Dresses and Dreams Project is 501 (c)3 non-profit organization to inspire vulnerable teen girls and women to love and value themselves. We provide resources, referrals and empowerment through workshops, classes, mentoring and community collaboration to girls and women year- round at a mind, body, and spirit level, with a special emphasis on self-love, healthy relationships, and integrity. We hold an annual event called Operation Prom Girl where we have provided over 1200 prom dresses to high school girls and assisted with military balls and events for special learners. We also donate dresses to all women who have a need. Our mission is to empower women through the magic of a beautiful dress, and inspire them to live to their full potential and purpose.
